Christel Khalil reprises her iconic role as Lily Winters in the Wednesday, March 13th episode of The Young and the Restless. The character makes her way back to Genoa City. After the birth of her second child, Khalil took a maternity break and left the show for several months.
In the narrative, Lily returns to town after spending months away supporting her college-dwelling daughter at a trying period. She only enters the scene when she sees Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Heather (Vail Bloom) spending what appears to be a pleasant time with their daughter Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant).
It is hinted that Lily will quickly discover that Daniel has been having extramarital affairs. Fans who were hoping for a Lily who would stop at nothing to win Daniel back may want to reconsider.

According to an interview with TV Insider, Lily will feel so badly deceived that her perspective will change. “I think she’s at first just in shock,” Khalil revealed. She begins to realize more and more how awful everything actually was as time goes on.

Lily has shown herself to have an edge in the past, but how far would she go this time? “I think people are going to see a different side of Lily,” Khalil continued. There will undoubtedly be a lot of drama, but it will also be interesting to watch Lily and her coping mechanisms in a way that hasn’t really been shown before.
