On Monday, August 21, in the Australian program of Home and Away, Felicity Newman consented to talk about meeting her assailant.

As part of Felicity’s ongoing plot, the long-running soap opera is delving into the topic of restorative justice.

After his recent incarceration, Felicity received a call last week informing her that Jeremy, the man who had sexually abused her and threatened to blackmail her, had begged to meet with her. She then shared the surprise request with her best friend, Eden Fowler.

Eden told Felicity not to see Jeremy during Monday’s trip to Summer Bay because she was afraid the encounter would be too upsetting for her.

The police constable noted that the restorative justice method can offer some advantages when Felicity resorted to her brother Cash for additional assistance.

Cash made arrangements for Felicity to meet Harper Matheson, a newcomer to Summer Bay, who might offer more specialized knowledge due to her experience as a social worker.

Though she was still unsure of how it would work, Felicity was intrigued by the prospect of getting closure by talking to Jeremy.

Ultimately, Felicity informed Cash and Eden that she had consented to meet with the facilitator of the program to talk further about the matter.

She stated: “I want to learn more about restorative justice, so I talked to the facilitator and I’m going to the city to attend certain meetings that are necessary to begin the process. I’m not locked into anything by it.

Eden said, “If you believe it will help, I can take you. I swear to keep my thoughts to myself.

Through a program called restorative justice, victims of crimes can meet with the perpetrators to talk about the harm and hold them accountable.

Felicity’s actor, Jacqui Purvis, had already discussed this plot point in an exclusive interview with Digital Spy.

Last month, she informed us: “We ultimately investigate restorative justice. Felicity really speaks with the offender at that point in the story.
