Home And Away's Ada Nicodemou Shares How Cast Discovered Co-star Romance

Ada Nicodemou of Home and Away has disclosed how the ensemble found out about her relationship with James Stewart, her co-star.

The on-screen couple, Justin Morgan and Leah Patterson, verified their connection earlier this year after it was claimed that they had been seen kissing in public.

Nicodemou claims that the Home and Away cast was already aware of the friendship between the lifelong friends.

The actor clarified on the No Filter podcast that she had informed people on site with whom she was “close with” before “word got around”.

She said, “I figured I didn’t need to tell anyone else,” to host Mia Freedman. “We didn’t need a group email, people just worked it out.”

Nicodemou acknowledged that even though her co-stars saw through their romance, she was first taken aback by her feelings for Stewart. “Jimmy and I have known each other for 25 to 30 years and there were no feelings for a really, really long time,” she said.

“There was this chemistry for the first time – this spark that happened that wasn’t there before and it was weird.”

We had only recently started coming together and wanted to do our thing, so it was all very new. We were sadly caught on camera sharing a kiss while we waited for an Uber.” She continued: “Everyone knew who needed to know anyway.”

The pair made their formal dating debut at the Logie Awards this year. “It’s a work event, but it was the first time we were photographed together and all that,” Nicodemou said. “It was really nice to share that moment with him and finally go, ‘Yeah we’re together.'”
