Actress Jessica Redmayne has discussed the present predicament facing her character Harper Matheson on Home and Away.
In scenes that will run this week in Australia for the season finale (which is scheduled for March in the UK), Harper, who is now pregnant, will find out that the unborn child has a lung cyst.
Doctor Levi Fowler warns Harper and Tane Parata, the baby’s father, that she may have fetal heart failure if she doesn’t have in-utero surgery. Levi has never done this kind of operation before, therefore there is a chance that the baby will be born before its due date.

Redmayne clarified in an interview with TV Week that Harper’s first reaction is to refuse the procedure.
“Harper is so scared at the thought that major surgery could be detrimental to her baby’s health and chance of survival,” she stated.
“She doesn’t believe her baby will survive the surgery and she thinks she can control her blood pressure and bring him back to health naturally.”
What will happen to the baby and will Harper decide to change her mind?
This week’s dramatic plotline isn’t the only one; Eden Fowler’s ex-fiance Cash Newman is still pursuing her new boyfriend Tim, and when familiar characters appear, it quickly devolves into a brawl.
