Tane’s allegiances are put to the test on Home and Away in the UK the following week as Perri chooses whether to testify against his dad and Harper gets ready for her ultrasound.

After the announcement of her pregnancy, Harper (Jessica Redmayne) feels a great deal lighter, but she can’t help but wonder about Tane’s (Ethan Browne) possible involvement with both her and the child.

After attempting for more than two months to inform Tane that he would soon become a father, Harper finally gave in to pressure to keep Tane from fighting with Carl Hayes (Matthew Holmes), demonstrating that he had too much to lose by jeopardizing his suspended sentence.

Harper was worried when Tane’s first reaction was to go drink at Salt and then show up to the Beach House inebriated, even though she had given him some time to absorb the news.

After Harper advised they hold off on having a serious chat until Tane was sober, Tane passed out on the couch. The next day, after much back and forth, Tane finally told Harper he was all in and ready to become a father to his child.

Harper isn’t sure how “in” Tane wants to be, though, as she struggles with the fact that she secretly loves him. In fact, queries concerning the unexpected duo were already being raised as Summer Bay learned of the news, and Tane and Harper were unable to respond.

Harper asked if Tane had stated that the three of them would be a family, even if Alf (Ray Meagher) seemed to think they were a couple.

Tane acknowledged that his language should have been more considered and that he hadn’t considered the implications for them, but he still made a commitment to put her and the child first, if that was sufficient for the time being.

Along with starting to doubt his role in Tane’s life, Perri also started looking for other places to live since he believed Tane wouldn’t want him sticking around when a baby was on the way. Tane gave Perri the assurance that he would always have a place to call home.

Harper will have to answer the inquiries from the bay by herself the following week as Tane and Perri will be gone camping for a few days.

Harper is given a crocheted blanket by Marilyn (Emily Symons) with much gratitude, although she is unsure of Tane’s preferences. Harper is unsure once more when Xander (Luke Van Os) inquires later about whether she and Tane plan to attend the birthing lessons together.

Unfortunately for John (Shane Withington), an irate Harper admits that they haven’t yet talked about their living situation, and it’s his inquiries about it that break the camel’s back. but she’ll be sure to let him know when they do!

John is reminded to go via Dana (Ally Harris) if he wants gossip as she steps in to stop him.

As John departs, Harper collapses, overcome by the lingering doubt.

After John apologizes to Harper for going too far, Alf (Ray Meagher), who is nearby, remarks that John is the biggest gossip in the town since Colleen Smart.

Tane tells Perri that they ought to get a place of their own when they finally get back from their trip. Especially since, after the baby is born, they’ll need more space than they have when they live at the farmhouse with Mackenzie (Emily Weir) and Levi (Tristan Gorey).

Harper still finds it difficult to have some alone time with Tane to discuss, even after Tane and Perri have been together for the past three days. Tane questions whether it really matters when she kindly requests Perri to provide her and Tane some solitude.

Tane tells Harper that he has been trying to prove to Perri that he will honor his word to him since she was afraid he would leave him when she learned about the baby. Harper asks, “But what about the promise Tane made to me and the baby?”

John cuts into the conversation while Harper is telling Tane about all the inquiries in order to support Harper’s assertion. While acknowledging that he is unsure of their future together, Tane pledges to be present for the ultrasound the following week and for all subsequent scans.

When Tane gets home and discovers Rose (Kirsty Marillier) has called to discuss Perri’s complaint against Carl, he quickly finds his allegiances divided. The DPP is eager to bring charges against him and has scheduled a provisional court date; however, this will only happen if Perri agrees to testify against his father.

A dissatisfied Perri responds to Tane’s request for information by saying that he would have known if he had been present when he spoke with Rose.

Perri apologizes the following day, and Tane is now aware of the circumstances since he has spoken with Rose personally. Tane advises Perri that he must make his own decisions when he inquires about what he should do.

Tane’s heart sinks, though, when Harper subsequently tells him that the ultrasound is scheduled for next Thursday. But instead of being honest with Harper right away, he just says he can’t make it.

Harper murmurs, “Let me guess.” “You and Perri have plans?”

Harper walks out, furious that Tane is already breaking his word, after Tane affirms that.

Tane leaves with her, but he doesn’t tell her how important the real situation with Perri is. Rather, he invents drama for the sake of drama by promising to support her on Thursday.

Given his dedication to both Harper and Perri, which of them will suffer the consequences in the end?
