Home and Away Spoilers – Perri turns himself in to the police

After his attempt to hold his violent father Carl (Matthew Holmes) accountable for his misdeeds failed, Perri (Cantona Stewart) had been living in constant terror of him.

Perri had reported Carl to the authorities after turning eighteen, describing the years of horrific abuse he had endured. In addition, Perri had served time in juvenile detention because Carl had coerced him into engaging in illegal activities.

Rose (Kirsty Marillier), who helped Perri file an AVO against Carl after he was found not-guilty, attributed the decision to Perri’s nervousness during the trial.

Naturally, Carl was drawn to Perri despite the paper, as he attempted to intimidate Carl into performing “one last job” for him. Perri’s refusal persisted, so Carl decided to follow him and find out where he and Tane were residing.

Last week, when Perri returned home, she discovered a copy of the AVO menacingly sitting on the kitchen counter with a big knife sticking out of it. Carl then appeared in an effort to persuade his son to reconsider. After threatening to contact the police, Perri discovered that Carl had stolen his phone.

Perri was carried to the swimming pool where Carl forced his head under the water when he once more refused to submit to his demands.

Carl’s lifeless body was floating in the pool when Tane got home later that night. Perri, who was sitting close in disbelief, claimed he didn’t plan to do it.

Perri continued by saying that Carl may have struck his head as a result of his push during his desperate attempt to get out of the water. Carl was dead in the sea when he woke up.

Cantona Stewart told TV Week, “His immediate feeling was relief, almost as if he had been liberated from this horrible devil-like burden he’d been cursed with.”

“He realized then that the only family he had was killed by his own hands as he stared into the pool where his father lay face down.”

Tane made the moral decision to call the police, but upon Rose’s (Kirsty Marillier) arrival, they discovered that Perri had secretly left the house and vanished.

Rose was especially suspicious of Tane’s account of what had transpired, since he seemed to be more interested in emphasizing the negative history between Carl and Perri than in considering the possibility that he was protecting himself from a man who had a violent past with him.

Tane was the one to point out the glaringly obvious—that Perri would have been terrified—when Rose questioned why, if he was innocent as claimed, he would have chosen to run.

Theo questioned Perri about why he wouldn’t go to the police, to which Perri replied that the legal system had let him down previously when he had reported his father’s abuse and the court had disregarded him.

After the police issued a warrant for Perri’s arrest, his picture was already all over the front page of the Coastal News and he was the subject of a local radio bulletin the following day.

The following week, the search intensifies even more when Perri is mentioned in a TV news report. Meanwhile, Theo is left to wrestle with his morality as he stands by his friend, having previously vowed to never let him down.

When Rose confronts Theo in the diner, he claims not to be aware of Perri’s whereabouts.

Rose informs Theo that aiding someone in escaping after a “murder” might result in up to 20 years in prison when the two speak again later.

Preview pictures posted on social media from the show’s accounts seem to depict Tane being taken to the garage by Theo after he revealed that he had been hiding Perri. Another picture shows Perri concealed behind a vehicle.

It’s unclear if Perri flees from his pals, but TV Week claims he will eventually go to the Yabbie Creek police station to turn himself in.

Rose quickly places Perri under arrest and accuses him of “murdering” his father, despite Perri’s claim of self-defense.

Later, on the morning of Perri’s bail hearing, Tane pays him a visit and tells him that everyone is rooting for him and will support him in his legal battle.

Although Perri is relieved to have some help, will it be sufficient?

Meanwhile, Theo visits the police station at some time within the next few days.

He says to Rose, “I’m here to hand myself in,” and she ushers him into the interview space.

Will Theo be prosecuted as well for aiding his friend?
