After his attempts to bring father Carl (Matthew Holmes) to justice failed, Perri (Cantona Stewart) finds himself in a difficult scenario the following week.
Although Perri testified in court, Carl was found not guilty and left free when Perri finally denounced his father for the years of abuse he had experienced as a child.

Despite their promises to support Perri, Tane (Ethan Browne) and Harper (Jessica Redmayne) ended up appearing in court by themselves when Tane hurried to the hospital to be with Harper amid a pregnancy scare.
Perri is upset when Rose (Kirsty Marillier) brings him back to the surf club when we pick things up the following week. He still doesn’t know why Tane hasn’t arrived.

Rose’s promises that she and her fellow Yabbie Creek police officers will “keep an eye out” don’t help Perri feel any less scared because his father is now free to pursue him once more (can you blame him?).
Perri is a little irritated when Tane finally shows there and assures him that Harper is okay, pointing out that his father had never fulfilled his promises. Alf (Ray Meagher) had informed him that Tane had rushed off to be with Harper.

After Tane explains what transpired with Harper and apologizes for losing his temper, Perri calms down. He continues by expressing his annoyance at how his father’s attorney misrepresented him in court and made him out to be a liar, ruining his testimony with Carl’s gaze.
Rose can arrange an AVO against Carl, but Perri is skeptical that it will be effective because nothing would stop him if the courts couldn’t.
Tane informs Perri that Carl doesn’t even know where they reside and reassures him that he will be secure.

However, a resentful Carl does indeed observe them as they make their way back home.
The following day, Carl is able to obtain one of the gym’s class schedules, and as he is hanging about outside the club, he runs into Alf, who doesn’t recognize him.
When he sees the schedule, Alf gives Carl the information he needs and instructs him to go inside where Perri can help.

A startled Perri is ambushed by Carl, who waits inside the club and threatens to “end them” if he alerts anybody.
Carl is obviously not pleased with his son’s efforts to challenge him, saying that although the court case was awful enough, the ensuing AVO is pitiful.

Tane will return at any moment, Perri warns Carl, but Carl is aware of this because he has seen the class schedule.
Carl believes that Perri needs a reminder of his allegiance, so he chillingly informs him that he is his father and not Tane, and that he wouldn’t have to touch Tane to defeat him.
Carl notes, “Accidents happen all the time.” “Brake lines can be cut, people are ran over… You simply never know.
Carl whispers into Perri’s ear that he would be in contact after delivering his threat.
After a while, Perri comes home, but he is afraid of endangering Tane, so he cannot force himself to speak to him.
What is Carl planning?

As the heartache of the previous few weeks finally catches up with Eden (Stephanie Panozzo), John (Shane Withington) is left to pick up the pieces elsewhere on the cul-de-sac.
Fearing that fate would take her away from him as well, fiancé Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) decided to dump Eden at the burial, as if losing her best friend Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) wasn’t enough.
Eden is devastated to see Cash deliberately avoiding her when she sees him out for a jog the following week because he has made it painfully obvious to her that he has no intention of changing his mind.
When she later drowns her sorrows in salt, John can tell that Eden wants company. Eden is glad to continue talking as long as he covers the cost of the drinks.

After cutting her off, Eden’s bartending coworker ends up ejecting the two from Salt, and John chooses to escort a very inebriated Eden home (well, he’s just next door).
Eden complains that it’s killing her to be reminded of both Cash and Flick all the time because they live right across the street.
As Eden sobs for the death of her dearest friend, John consoles her.
Eden sobs, “The only person who understands what I’m going through won’t even talk to me.”

Eden thanks John for listening as he welcomes her inside and offers her a drink of water before leaving.
Eden warns Cash that if he leaves now, there’s no coming back. Cash apologises and heads out the door, leaving Eden broken.
Cash is warned by Eden that there is no turning back if he departs now. Eden is left distraught as Cash apologizes and leaves.

The ever-considerate JP confesses that he worried about Eden all night long as he delivers her a strong cup of coffee and some breakfast the next morning. Eden, however, is solely concerned about the fact that she embarrassed herself last night at that point.
John chooses to visit Cash and tells him straight out that even though Eden still loves him, she won’t wait forever.
