General Hospital Reveals That We Don’t Know Jack About Brennan: ‘Just Watch Out’

The General Hospital reveal of Valentin’s deep (and long-term) ties to Pikeman may not have been the biggest surprise that ABC’s lone daytime drama (at least for the moment) recently doled out. All of a sudden, Brennan wasn’t called John anymore but Jack. What gives?

Actor Charles Mesure tweeted, “I told ABC I’ll do General Hospital as long as my name is John,” elaborating on his connection to the handle with phrases like “You know, John Wayne, JFK and so forth.”

He continues, “Then this other man turns in, this Adam J. Harrington, who’s probably more attractive than me. “I’m Jack now.”

Harrington, who portrays the character formerly known as Jagger, added that neither Mesure nor himself had the right to decide who would get to maintain the name John. “Jack is a killer name, and we left that to greater minds than ours,” he claims. Maybe they had a brawl.

Joking aside, Mesure isn’t bothered at all that Brennan’s name was altered so soon after his debut. That’s awesome. He continues, laughing, “You guys are lucky because I enjoy the moniker Jack. I’m a team player. Just be cautious.
