At last, the truth is known.
Denise Fox of Eastenders disclosed a significant detail on the club crush in the most recent episode of the show.
Many people were hurt in the August event at Peggy’s, including Amy Branning, who had a heart collapse and is now temporarily in a wheelchair.
The person who caused the crush, manager Penny, had a falling out with dad Jack. However, Chelsea was the one who caused the crush by trying to ruin Penny’s night.
Chelsea confided in her mother Denise a few weeks ago, but since then, Denise and Jack have been becoming closer, and they had a kiss in this week’s episodes.
After spending the night with Jack in today’s episode, Denise attempted to sneak out of the house, but her husband had already prepared her breakfast.
He was informed that there would be no proof to exonerate Penny since the Peggy’s CCTV film was totally tainted.
Jack encouraged Denise to think about getting back together and reminded her that their divorce hadn’t finalized yet, but Chelsea wasn’t pleased to see her mother leave Jack’s house.
Though Chelsea was worried that Denise would eventually tell her daughter about the infatuation, Denise assured her that there was no proof against her.
When Penny arrived at the hospital, Amy and her got into a heated disagreement during Amy’s physiotherapy session.
Despite Harry’s best efforts to get her to stay, Penny chose to leave Walford and return to Paris because she felt abandoned by her family.
When Penny showed up to Jack and Denise’s house and declared her intention to leave the Square, they attempted to encourage Amy.
The family got into a fight, with Amy still blaming Penny for the crush while Denise attempted to mediate.
Denise’s remorse overcame her decision to speak the truth after seeing the damage Chelsea’s falsehoods had caused on the Brannings.
“It wasn’t her that caused the crush, that put you in the hospital,” she stated. “It was Chelsea.”
