After seeing a number of hints, EastEnders viewers believe they have figured out a devastating New Year’s Day plot for the BBC soap opera.

After being engaged earlier this year, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) revealed this week that they intend to get married on New Year’s Day.

Fans believe the wedding will still take place, but it won’t be a joyous one, even if the couple is now at odds and Eve has finally learned the truth about Keanu’s death.

While filming the New Year’s episodes in October, director Christopher McGill used Twitter/X to give fans sly teases that left more questions than answers.

His usage of the menacing hashtag #EndofthePier has Sukeve supporters scratching their heads.

Since Eve has many acquaintances in Brighton, Suki and Eve have frequently discussed visiting the city. Recalling Christopher’s post-episode tweet, EastEnders fan Rachel hinted that Suki and Eve would be getting married in the coastal town.

But Christopher made references to other things as well.

Additionally, he mentioned crossing railroad tracks, which led EastEnders fan Sammy to come up with an intriguing notion.

Having been convicted of Keanu’s murder, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) is now incarcerated; but, is it possible that he would get out to exact his last retribution on Suki and Eve?

Is it possible that Suki and Eve’s wedding may fail?

All of the wedding guests, including Eve and Suki, are taking the train to Brighton for the ceremony. By then, Nish had managed to escape from prison. They become stranded when he applies the emergency stop. “An additional train arrives and collides with them,” Sammy’s theory stated.

Do these fans of EastEnders have a point? Will Suki and Eve’s wedding be a catastrophe that might turn tragic?
