Christopher McGill, the director of EastEnders, seems to have confirmed a huge stunt that would take place in the soap opera’s “monstrous” New Year episodes.
As the special block of episodes is being filmed, Christopher has been posting tidbits of rumors on X, previously Twitter, for the past two weeks.
His most recent message on the social networking platform was very cryptic, raising the possibility that the BBC soap opera is organizing a significant event.
He commented, “Day Fourteen of @bbceastenders New Years Episodes,” and included the menacing hashtag #EndOfThePier after posting a photo of a piece of tape cautioning cast and crew not to approach a “dressed set.”
What might it signify? There are so many questions!

Chris further tempted followers in the answers by mentioning “railway lines.”
“I hope you didn’t cross the dressed set line Chris!!!!” was written by a fan, to which he responded, “Crossing all the lines.” railroad lines as well!

Another fan speculated that Chris could have implied in his initial tweet that the soap opera was being filmed near the water.
“End of the Pier.. anyone taking a wee visit to Blackpool?” they wrote.

Christopher wrote last week that he was on a “travel day,” perhaps confirming that part of the episodes will be set on location.
As he posted more behind-the-scenes photos, he had earlier called the New Year’s episodes “monstrous,” writing: “A room packed (PACKED) with EastEnder icons.”

Actor Shane Richie, who plays Alfie Moon, stated earlier this week that the already taped Christmas episodes might be summed up in the words “deceit, tragic, and sad.”
“I purposefully didn’t read [the script] because I knew Kat and Alfie would be involved and I didn’t really want to know what was going to happen in the Queen Vic on Christmas Day.” A couple things happened on Christmas. “But my God!” he exclaimed in an interview with Radio Times.

“As a fan of the program, I was thinking, “Oh my God, I can’t believe this!” as I sat there and watched this Christmas Day narrative develop in the Queen Vic. I was engrossed in the plot of the novel and kept making mistakes when I had to deliver a line.
“This Christmas Day is going to be a wonderful treat for you.”
After the group was seen filming a funeral and Kellie Bright was not present, we were even more anxious about Linda Carter, a character that fans fear may be killed off.

As they attend a funeral, actors Danny Hatchard and Maddy Hill seem to be playing Nancy and Lee Carter again. Johnny Carter and Elaine Peacock (Charlie Suff and Harriet Thorpe) are also present for the funeral.
Viewers of the soap opera are worried that the adored landlady could be about to pass away, with the family attending her burial, because Nancy is seen wearing flamingo earrings in photos that were published by The Sun, which are a mainstay of Linda’s attire.
