In the most recent episode of EastEnders, Jack Branning and Denise Fox underwent a significant adjustment.
Recently, Jack and Denise, a divorced couple, have started to fall in love again and have started to rekindle their passion.
This week, Jack became enraged upon learning that Denise had concealed her role in the club crush and lied on behalf of her daughter Chelsea, placing Penny at fault.
However, Jack ended up siding with Chelsea when he invited the family to vote on who should be held accountable—Chelsea—leaving his own daughter to plot retaliation against him.
In today’s episode, Penny reassured Lauren that she wouldn’t do anything foolish, while Jack and Denise carried on enjoying their reunion.
But Penny immediately went about ruining her dad’s relationship and reminded Denise of all the pain Jack had given her by sleeping with Stacey.
Though they were promising to be friends, Denise had second thoughts when she saw Jack and Stacey cuddling at The Vic after she had refused to fall for Penny’s tricks.
Penny wanted Harry to use the knowledge about his club love as leverage to have Jack ignore his questionable activities so she could bring him down, but Harry was not interested in cooperating with her scheme.
When Denise first saw Jack at home, she warned him that if they were going to go further, they needed to have a meaningful conversation about Stacey and their affair.
They soon became angry of one another once more as they talked over the past and the secrets that had kept them apart.
Denise eventually decided against their reunion and filed for divorce, but as soon as Jack departed, she started crying.
After that, Jack ran into Harry, and during their heated argument, Jack punched Harry in the face. Tommy managed to capture this violent exchange on video.
Subsequently, Harry informed Penny that he wanted to be part of her plan and disclosed that he had paid Tommy for the attack tape.
