According to experts, there will be a death on EastEnders around Christmas, and Kellie Bright, who plays Linda in the show, will be the victim.
A leaked screenplay seems to have confirmed that a beloved Albert Square resident will pass away this Christmas, continuing EastEnders’ tradition of adding a little sorrow to the holiday season. The character that bookmakers believe has the highest chance of being eliminated has finally been determined.
In Walford, Christmas hasn’t always been a happy occasion; for at least one family, it usually brings some awful news. Memorable events throughout the years include Mick Carter disappearing into the English Channel, Jamie Mitchell dying in the hospital after being run over by Martin Fowler, Abi Branning falling to her death, and Den serving divorce papers to Angie on Christmas Day.
With the tense finale of The Six, in which Linda Carter killed Keanu Taylor to prevent him from smothering Sharon, Christmas 2023 must rank among the most dramatic to yet.
Additionally, it’s Queen Vic regular Linda, Mick’s wife, who is about to meet a gory death before the year is out, according to bookmaker Bonus Finder. As the actors who portray her on-screen children returned to the soap opera, she was conspicuously missing from pictures of cast members filming a funeral lately.
This, together with the discovery of an EastEnders script mentioning a death, has caused BonusFinder to rank Linda as their top target for elimination. She is now scheduled to pass away on Christmas Eve, with Tommy Moon on November 8 and Alfie Moon on December 13.
This week’s episodes have showed BBC viewers Linda’s struggle with alcoholism, after the return of Bernie, Keanu’s sister, to Albert Square, and the slain mechanic’s sibling’s determination to obtain justice for her brother.
