Coronation Street is no stranger to tackling ground-breaking subjects – and now it’s been claimed it could be set to introduce a throuple storyline – involving Bethany Platt
Coronation Street’s first-ever throuple on the well-known cobblestones might go down in history.
The venerable show, which debuted in 1960, has a history of making television history. It has presented innumerable current and controversial themes, offered a ton of drama and humor, and addressed a number of groundbreaking topics over the years.
Viewers have been witnessing a variety of scenarios, including those involving infidelity and serial killers, unfold on TV screens for more than 60 years. And the soap opera just turned sixty-three, so it’s obvious that it won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
Viewers may remember how Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) just strolled up on the cobbles in the soap opera. And it didn’t take her long to move in with Rob Mallard, her ex-Daniel Osbourne.

When Daniel learned that his fiancé Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) had cheated on him with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), he was devastated. Daisy, however, wished to win Daniel back and regretted the affair.
Daniel, though, moved on to Bethany right away. Daisy has since gotten back together with Ryan, but it’s obvious that she still longs to see Daniel. Amidst the romantic triangle on the cobbles, rumors are circulating that the program may be about to debut the first-ever throuple in UK soap opera history.

One of the most well-known artificially intelligent “creative” tools in the world, Gemini, was questioned by Daily Star to see if a throuple including Bethany, Daisy, and Daniel might occur on Corrie. Given that the soap opera “has a history of pushing boundaries and tackling social issues,” the program said that it is probably the case.
Then Gemini gave a few justifications, one of which was “groundbreaking representation.” “Coronation Street would be the first UK soap opera to feature a throuple,” the statement read. This might give polyamorous couples on mainstream media the much-needed positive representation they deserve.

Additionally, it mentioned “exploring modern relationships.” The system continued, saying, “The show could explore the complexities of navigating a consensual, non-monogamous relationship, as polyamory is becoming more accepted.”
“Drama and conversation” make up a third justification. “A triple storyline would definitely create drama and talking points among viewers,” Gemini stated. It might start discussions on relationships, love, and social expectations.
