Tim Metcalfe of Coronation Street was viciously attacked by Stephen Reid and forced into the boot of his own cab after threatening to reveal Stephen’s crimes and discovering Teddy Thompkins’ dead body in the canal.
Since last night’s episode of Coronation Street ended on a major cliffhanger ahead of the final episode on Friday 13, viewers have claimed they know who was in the street staring at Jenny Connor (played by Sally-Ann Matthews) at the conclusion of the program.
Theft, LSD drug use, and the murders of Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost), Teddy Thompkins (Grant Burgin), and Rufus Donahue (Steve Meo) are all crimes Stephen is eluding.
In the episode that aired on Monday night, Stephen also gave the impression that he had killed Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), whom he had tried to take to the police station.
After being questioned by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) about his drugging of Carla Connor (Alison King) and stealing from his own mother last night, Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) net of crimes started to tighten.
The Platt family also learned about the body discovered in the roof box in the canal, which left David Platt (Jack P Shephard) to start putting the puzzle pieces together.

After changing the number of passengers on his flight to Thailand from two to one, the date, and, as viewers learned last night, the airport’s location—which turned out to be Liverpool rather than Manchester—Stephen made an attempt to flee Weatherfield.
When he reached for his passport to hand it to the desk clerk, he quickly realized that it was no longer in its case and that he would miss his flight. The episode ended with a person in a brown jacket standing back and breathing heavily while watching Jenny Connor.
While some viewers insist that Stephen is returning for vengeance, others are certain that Tim is the one who has managed to escape the taxi’s boot.
Can’t tell if that was Stephen or Tim at the end then, Hayley Lee wrote on their X accounts. #Corrie had a brown jacket on both of them.

@demelcy enquired: “Wait, could it be Tim at the end??? #Corrie.”
“Corrie,” said Mitch Davis, “was Tim standing there at that time.”
“OK, that has got to be Tim standing there at the end,” Alicia Hodgson surmised. That’d make a clever twist! eagerly anticipating Friday. #Corrie.”
“Is it Tim or Stephen will have to wait until Friday #corrie?” wrote @Itt39354118.
I’m now CONVINCED that the figure at the conclusion of tonight’s episode was NOT Stephen, but definitely Tim instead, said @chloeelou_x with assurance. PLEASEEEE! #Corrie.” (sic)
