In EastEnders, Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford) are getting romantic this week, which is terrible news for Junior (Micah Balfour), the half-brother.
After Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) ended their extramarital romance last month, following the advise of her ex-boyfriend David Wicks (Michael French), Junior is still nursing his wounds.
In order to keep his father, George Knight (Colin Salmon), in the dark about the fact that the woman in issue was his ex-wife, he had confessed to his family that he had been covertly seeing someone.
However, Junior is under pressure from his siblings to bring his “mystery” woman as his date to George’s wedding to Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) in a few weeks.
Gina tries to lift Junior’s spirits in scenes that will appear this week by offering him a challenge: if she can secure a date to the wedding within the next 24 hours, Junior must bring his girlfriend as his plus one. Junior is upset to hear that his son Xavier won’t be attending the wedding.
Gina takes great pride in informing Junior that he has lost the bet and must bring his mystery girl along when she and Anna are successful in getting dates for the wedding.
Later, Junior is compelled to admit that he has been rejected after Gina makes fun of him for being a love rat.
The identities of Gina and Anna’s dates are also unknown, although fans will undoubtedly be hopeful that Anna has finally consented to try out her long-term admirer, Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier).
Elaine attempts to convince George to ask Junior to be his best man as they are busy getting ready for their special day.
George asks Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) instead since he lacks the guts to ask himself and fears rejection.
When Phil realizes what’s happening, he urges George to have the bravery to talk to his son, and George eventually asks Junior.
Will Junior turn down his father’s offer, though, as he is still upset about his split with Cindy?
