Following the horrific death of his abusive father, Carl, Perri Hayes of Home and Away faces the possibility of going to prison in scenes that will run this week in Australia.

Last week, Australian viewers seen Carl threaten Perri with a knife before chasing his scared son outdoors and poking his head into the swimming pool.

The event came to a horrifying end when Carl drowned in the pool after Perri subdued his father. Perri performed a disappearing act and asked Theo Poulos to assist him in hiding after Tane Parata urged that the police ought to be called.

TV Week claims that Perri will choose to face the music and go to the police station to give himself in in scenes that will show this week.

Officer Rose Delaney feels she must arrest Perri and accuse him of killing Carl, even though he makes it obvious to her that he was defending himself after being attacked.

Perri, who is terrified, is left to struggle with his own emotions following the murder of his father. His character, Cantona Stewart, explains Perri’s mixed thoughts.

“His immediate feeling was relief, almost as if he had been liberated of this horrible devil-like burden he’d been cursed with,” he stated. Subsequently, when he gazed into the swimming pool where his dad was lying down.

Thankfully, when Tane pays Perri a visit prior to his bond hearing, he clearly states that he would support her. Tane tells Perri that although he too was facing a jail sentence earlier in the year, support from his loved ones enabled him to overcome his ordeal.

As Tane reassures a terrified Perri that he will assist him in defending against his murder charge, Perri makes the decision, as Tane has been teaching him, to face his future and accept personal responsibility.

But will Perri truly be able to face what’s coming next, given that Stewart referred to him as “a deer in the headlights” after Carl’s passing?
