Rumors of a beloved character’s contract expiring have left fans of Home and Away pleading with the gods of Summer Bay. The actor appears to be on vacation right now, nowhere near Sydney’s Palm Beach. Oh no.

While there have long been rumors that Rose (Kirsty Marillier) and Xander (Ethan Van Os) will be leaving the show when their three-year contracts expire, it has also been brought to light that Emily Weir, who plays Mackenzie Booth, may have a contract that ends at roughly the same time.

In a Home and Away fan group on Facebook, a moderator made this observation, stating that although it wasn’t verified, Emily’s “contract is up and she has been travelling with Sarah Roberts and Tim Franklin,” two of her previous co-stars from the show. Yahoo Lifestyle has contacted Channel Seven on the rumors in order to get their response.

The group administrator also stated that. Despite speculation that Kirsty wouldn’t have her contract renewed in 2025 because of other obligations, her departure was also unconfirmed. Just two weeks ago, Kirsty was sighted filming, suggesting that her story will go on until 2025.

Naturally, fans are a little nervous about another favorite leaving after fan favorite Jacqui Purvis, who played Felicity Newman, left earlier this year. But early this year, Emily revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that she was already planning her exit from the show.
