Next week, after Abigail (Hailey Pinto) abruptly leaves, Levi (Tristan Gorey) finds himself in a difficult situation after learning that his little sister has stolen more than just his wallet.

Abby Fowler, the youngest of the three Fowler siblings, visited Summer Bay via plane last week after finding out that Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) and Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) were engaged. Unannounced, Abby showed up at the farmhouse and talked Levi into taking her to the engagement party. There, Eden pleasantly surprised everyone by asking herself and Levi, along with Mackenzie (Emily Weir), to remain and enjoy a drink.

When Abby received a text message from an unknown person inquiring where she was, it was evident that she was nervous. When she and Levi returned to the farmhouse, Abby became upset when Levi informed her that they did not have a spare room available for her to stay in.

When Levi walked outside after Abby requested him to escort her to the bus stop, he discovered that she had vanished along with his wallet that was on the coffee table.

The following week, Levi makes a valiant effort to contact Abby in order to find out what is going on with her. He tells Mac that he hasn’t really seen Abby in two years and hasn’t really had anything to do with her since leaving the family home 10 years ago, so he’s not sure what to make of the situation.

When Levi calls his mother, she provides him with Abby’s share house number, but he finds out that she moved out a few weeks prior.

Levi hears John (Shane Withington) speaking to Rose (Kirsty Marillier) outside the surf club the following day. John claims that someone broke into his office during the engagement party.

Although John feels guilty for leaving it unlocked, Justin (James Stewart) argues that John was preoccupied because he had dropped Irene (Lynne McGranger) off at her treatment facility earlier in the day.

In a follow-up message, Levi asks Abby directly if she took money from the surf club and, if so, to return it right away.

Sadly, Levi quickly leaves once Rose overhears and asks him if everything is alright. As he explains that his younger sister is only giving their mother trouble, Rose follows him outside.

Rose tells Levi that he has a duty to inform her if he finds out anything about the theft. Will he, however, spy on his own sister?

A torn page from Mali’s sketch pad reveals another aspect of his artistic abilities to Kirby (Angelina Thomson) at the board shop.

While everyone can notice Mali’s artwork on surfboards, Kirby finds this particular piece to be a considerable deviation from his regular approach.

As Kirby questions Mali about the drawing, she presses him to explain that it was only a hasty sketch and that he would throw it out.

Nevertheless, Mali is not amused by Kirby poking her nose in, and she can tell that she has irritated him as he returns the artwork to her and leaves.

Mali subsequently clarifies that he had sketched it after going through a few trying months, and it was a very personal work of art. Though Kirby acknowledges that it can be similar when she writes songs, he still maintains that it is too excellent not to share.

A irritated Mali asks why it’s so important to her when there’s so much else going on because of Kirby’s persistent pressing.

Later, Kirby phones the farmhouse to apologize after realizing she crossed the line. but also packs a set of paints and a blank canvas.

Kirby says, “I’m not going to say anything,” setting them down. “You do what you will with that.”

After Kirby leaves, leaving Mali with some food for thought, he quickly sets up an easel and begins working.

That evening, Kirby chooses to try to express her sadness about Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) by playing the piano, but she eventually starts crying.

The following day, Mali acknowledges that Kirby was correct as he walks into the store with his freshly finished artwork. She shows Kirby the artwork and tells him he did a fantastic job, even impressing Alf (Ray Meagher).

Although Mali is happy with the result, Kirby tells him that there is a local art competition with a $15,000 top prize and subsequently thinks that Mali should move it to the next level. She’s going so far as to begin completing the entry form in his place.

Back to square one, as an irate Mali informs Kirby that he isn’t interested in the money and that, after their recent friend loss, teasingly entering an art competition is the last thing on his mind.

Will Kirby be able to persuade Mali to change her mind, or is this going too far?
