Damon Hay was recently arrested for armed robbery and Coronation Street spoilers reveal that his girlfriend Sarah Barlow learns he’s been sentenced to six years behind bars next week

The exit narrative for Damon Hay has been announced by Coronation Street.

Over the weekend, rumors circulated that actor Ciaran Griffiths, who had played the bad boy for two years, was departing the Weatherfield and had already filmed his last scenes.

Next week, on the day of Damon’s sentence, his girlfriend Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) confides in his ex-boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North). Gary then informs Sarah of Liam Connor’s (Charlie Wrenshall) suicidal ideas.

Gary tells Sarah that their relationship is failing due to Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) overly protective behavior after inviting her back to the apartment. Unbeknownst to them both, Maria is observing her son through the camera app she put up, and she finds it fascinating that Sarah and Gary are staying at the apartment.

Maria is hurt when she cranks up the volume and hears their talk. When Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) calls Sarah to tell her that Damon has been given six years, Sarah begins to cry. Gary comforts her as she breaks down in tears. Will the two get back together in the end?

On Saturday, March 28, The Sun revealed that Damon actor Ciaran has bid farewell to the cobbles following a “natural end” to his tenure on the program. The publication was informed by a source that “Ciaran has enjoyed his time on the show, but Damon’s tale has come to an end for the time being. It’s time to bid him farewell for the time being, but the door is left open.”

In a recent episode, Damon’s jailbird brother Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) coerced him into getting jailed for armed robbery. Though he knew they would never be secure, he had the choice to turn on Harvey and be free to live his life with Sarah. Instead, he chose to enter a guilty plea and spend years behind bars alongside Harvey.

After a vicious altercation, the brothers got back together with the intention of resuming their illicit enterprise while incarcerated. In Friday’s (March 29) episode, Damon called Sarah in prison in an attempt to end their relationship. While Sarah was telling him that she would wait for him and that they would be able to have a future together, Damon revealed shocking information to his partner.

“I asked you here to tell you to your face, we’re finished,” he added, so I don’t want you to do that. I’m doing a great favor for you. You completely upended my world, yet I wouldn’t have done the things I have done if I truly loved you.You must turn to leave. I apologize; this is my choice. Sarah, good bye.” She was upset when he stood up and left her behind.
