Coronation Street fans were left scratching their heads when Cassie teased the identity of her son Tyrone’s father after admitting she was a sex worker as a teenager

Following Tyrone Dobbs’ mother Cassie’s shocking revelation last month, Coronation Street viewers are confident they know exactly who Tyrone Dobbs’ father is.

Fans believe the technician’s dad may be more closer to home than he realizes, thus the mechanic may be in for an incest shock. It might even portend the comeback of a legendary figure who was last seen on the cobbles more than ten years ago.

After reading an article regarding Lauren Bolton’s disappearance in March of last year, which suggested she had been engaging in sex work with O-Vidz, Cassie grew agitated. When Tyrone asked Cassie how she got into sex work as a teenager, she admitted that her father had discovered what she was doing when he discovered condoms and cash in her luggage.

Cassie nodded as her mother Evelyn persisted in her quest for knowledge and inquired as to whether Tyrone’s father was a client. However, she requested that Evelyn withhold the facts from Tyrone. Now that internet sleuths have taken out their magnification glasses, they believe his biological father may recognize him.

Some people on Reddit recommended Terry Duckworth as a worthy candidate, so establishing Jack and Vera as Tyrone’s biological grandparents from the start. “Imagine if it’s Terry Duckworth and Tyrone was Jack and Vera’s biological grandson/Tommy’s brother all along,” a Reddit user asked.

“Yeah, the Duckworth’s were like Tyrone’s honorary parents or grandparents, but at the same time, this seems hard to believe and the soap opera version of fan service,” said another. Simultaneously, it would provide an indirect means of reuniting Jack and Vera. I can see why aficionados of the original Corrie would adore this.

Some, however, had a more sinister theory, speculating that Tyrone’s business colleague Kevin might actually be his father. One speculated: “It looks like the writers forgot that it might be Kevin, as they at least seemed to allude to when she initially arrived.” As someone other noted, “That would be really, really bad.” That means Tyrone’s half-brother would be Jack? Tyrone, though, was with Jack’s mom? Am I understanding this correctly?

“Yes, Tyrone was married to Molly/Jack’s mother,” clarified a different fan. Jack was born as a result of Molly and Kevin having an affair. Tyrone first believed that he was Jack Duckworth’s father, which is why Jack was given that name.

The judgment was promptly endorsed by others, who wrote: “This plot idea does not sound good at all!” and “This was definitely something and me/my wife thought that was going to be a storyline.”

“I’m no DNA expert, but is there a chance Jack could be Tyrone’s son if Kevin is Tyrone’s dad?” asked a second person. It’s not quite incest, but it’s near enough to give fans a bad taste. Cassie has been flirting with Kevin a lot, so it’s possible that she will reveal something shocking.
