Coronation Street’s Tracy Barlow is set to be written out of the soap as she prepares to leave Weatherfield for a new life in Spain – but actress Kate Ford has been battling a health condition
Kate Ford’s character Tracy Barlow, the antagonist of Coronation Street, may soon be walking off the cobbles. According to spoilers, Steve accepts Tommy’s invitation for Tracy to travel to Spain with him.
Tracy’s 22 years on the show have included some amazing storylines. She had originally claimed that Roy Cropper, not Steve McDonald, the actor, was Amy’s father and that she had slept with him.
She even attempted to assassinate builder Charlie Stubbs and sell her own daughter to Roy and his wife Hayley. She has recently been linked to retired football player Tommy Orpington, Steve’s idol, and could be
But Kate Ford, the actress, is not at all like her wild persona in real life. In 1977, Tracy Barlow made her Coronation Street debut. Kate has been portraying the fiery character since 2002.

One in ten women in the UK suffer from endometriosis, and the celebrity talked candidly about her battle with the illness. When cells similar to those in the lining of the womb proliferate in other areas of the body, endometriosis results.

Kate admitted to her Instagram followers that she struggles with it. She posted this while shooting on Corrie: “I was having trouble with my endrometriosis a few weeks ago when I was filming #itvcorrie. Fortunately, I received a lot of support. I’d like to give a hug to everyone who is experiencing anything similar [heart emoji].
Kate suffers from severe endometriosis that affects more than just her womb, causing pain. “As someone with grade four endometriosis, I realise how much I rely on my massage therapy to help with this,” Kate wrote during the first lockdown in June 2020. I haven’t been able to see my therapist in three months because of Covid. I’ll never take this therapy for granted again because my body hurts xx”.
The actress Kate admitted to the Mirror that she finds her current plotline to be a little difficult. “It’s not easy turning on Tracy’s sexy side that’s difficult for a 46-year-old woman,” she said.
To be really honest, I believe that playing that in your 30s is far less difficult. I’m attempting to keep it from becoming really vampire-like because it would be excessive.”
