Tracy McDonald quits Weatherfield next week as Coronation Street bosses offer an update on Aggie Bailey and Jenny Connor and Daisy Midgeley get exposed
After reading Tommy Orpington’s (Matt Milburn) letter encouraging Tracy to go to Spain with him, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) hides it. Later, Steve is shocked to see Tracy, and just as he is reaching into his pocket for Tommy’s letter, Tracy says she wants to get back together, and Steve stops dead in his tracks.
In an effort to keep his marriage intact, Steve destroys Tommy’s letter as Tracy leaves. Can Steve keep this a secret from Tracy? Tracy calls No. 1 later that week to get the last of her belongings and tells Ken, Amy, and Daniel how much she will miss them. Ken proposes having a last drink in the Rovers. As Steve buryes himself in his newspaper and Amy feels sorry for him, Ken, Amy, and Daniel toast Tracy and wish her luck in her new life in Spain.
In another scene, Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) is informed by Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) that Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) has given him the order to march and that he will not be coming home once Georges returns from Birmingham. Hugging him consolingly, Michael swiftly moves the last demand letter out of sight.
In the meantime, after learning of Stephen Reid’s secret bank account after his death last year, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) devised a scheme to repurchase the Rovers with funds that the villain, Todd Boyce, stole from Underworld’s account. This week, Bethany Platt makes a startling discovery.
