Ciaran Griffiths has reportedly filmed his final scenes as Coronation Street’s Damon Hay after the actor’s time working on the ITV soap “came to an natural end”

There are rumors that another Coronation Street actor is walking off the cobbles.

Celebrity actor Ciaran Griffiths, best known for his role as bad boy Damon Hay, is reportedly bidding Weatherfield farewell after a “natural end” to his tenure on the program.

According to sources, the actor who starred in an ITV soap opera for two years has already filmed his last scenes.

“Ciaran’s loved his time on the show, but Damon’s story came to a natural end for now,” a source said to The Sun. It’s time to bid him farewell for the time being, but the door is left open.” In the most recent scenes, Damon was taken into custody for armed robbery following his brother Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) blackmail.

Though he knew they would never be secure, he had the choice to turn on Harvey and be free to enjoy his life with lover Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien). Instead, he chose to enter a guilty plea and spend years behind bars alongside Harvey. After a vicious altercation, the brothers got back together with the intention of resuming their illicit enterprise while incarcerated. In Friday’s (March 29) episode, Damon called Sarah in prison in an attempt to end their relationship.

While Sarah was telling him that she would wait for him and that they would be able to have a future together, Damon revealed shocking information to his partner. “I asked you here to tell you to your face, we’re finished,” he added, so I don’t want you to do that. I’m doing a great favor for you. You completely upended my world, yet I wouldn’t have done the things I have done if I truly loved you.You must turn to leave. I apologize; this is my choice. Sarah, good bye.” She was upset when he stood up and left her behind.

Although Ciaran joined Corrie in 2022, he has previously made appearances on the ITV serial opera. He made his screen debut as a guest back in 2000. In addition, he made appearances in the films Clocking Off, Waterloo Road, and Shameless, where he played Mickey Maguire and Gary Best, respectively. ITV has been approached by Daily Star for a response.

Ciaran’s exit occurs weeks after Chris Gasoyone’s last scenes as Peter Barlow aired over the holidays, and after it was announced that Alex Bain would be departing the program in his role as Simon Barlow.
