Coronation Street star Colson Smith is due “back on the beat” as Craig Tinker following his exit from Celebrity Big Brother and he’s revealed what his line is.
Colson Smith, a cast member of Coronation Street, looked radiant as he appeared via video link on Good Morning Britain today. After exiting the ITV show, the Celebrity Big Brother participant has now admitted that he was given a screenplay in a matter of hours.
“I came straight out of the house, slept in London, had the wrap party then into a car and back on the beat,” he yelled. In a friendly manner, the 25-year-old did add, “Today I only have one line so I can’t complain!”
When asked what he thought that line would be, Colson said that the only thing he will say in tonight’s Coronation Street episode is, “How old are you?” In his role as the kind-hearted policeman Craig Tinker, who often comes in to rescue the day when crime dramas unfold on the cobbles, he has been greatly missed on set.
Colson also discussed his altercation with Levi Roots in the CBB house, which some had referred to as a “barbed attack” and in which he locked himself in the bathroom before breaking down in tears. He expressed with a smile that he had no ill will toward his co-star for calling him “boring”.
“I’m fully aware that the show was a game and it’s set to challenge people and you have to say things that you don’t want to say,” he said. “[There are] no hard feelings at all!”

He declared himself “privileged” to have been a part of the “iconic” show, even though he lost out to Nikita Kuzman and eventual winner David Potts for the CBB title.
Colson said that since he hasn’t yet caught up with all of his co-stars, he was now “excited” about the chance to return to the green room and catch up with them.
He continued, saying, “I think you have to expect the unexpected when you do a show like [CBB].”
“I’m not quite sure what I expected, but it was certainly more than I could have ever imagined!”

This morning, winner David Potts also appeared on television, giving a speech on the Lorraine program.
He confirmed that he was “still single” and waiting for “the right person”.
When a curious Lorraine quizzed him on who the right person might be, he confessed that he had some lofty expectations.
He joked that if “gorgeous” actor Tom Hardy happened to be walking down Bolton High Street and “slipped a ring on his finger”, he’d no longer want to be a single man.
