The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Summer Becomes Jealous Of Claire?

Will Summer feel threatened by the growing bond between Claire, Kyle and Harrison?

In relation to The Young and the Restless Claire (Hayley Erin) hopes to live life as an official Newman at last, but Jordan (Colleen Zenk) is hidden away in a locked room for the time being.

Claire, of course, has a long way to go before she can return to normalcy. She has a new extended family of Newmans to get to know in addition to meeting her brothers and sister. In addition, Claire has job aspirations to consider, even though she and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) had briefly addressed her future intentions. Although her future plans are still unclear, Claire takes a step toward normalcy when she and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) visit Crimson Lights in the March 15 episode of The Young and the Restless.

Claire meets her cousin Summer (Allison Lanier) there and they exchange formal introductions. The two young ladies greet one another, and Summer says she’s glad to meet Claire and that she heard from Nick (Joshua Morrow) and saw in the newspaper that she had a new cousin. (We believe that these two should have crossed paths at Jack and Diane’s wedding at the Abbott Mansion, but we’re getting off topic.)

Michael Mealor’s character Kyle and Kelen Enriquez’s character Harrison are also at Crimson Lights. Harrison is apprehensive because his previous nanny left and Kyle and Summer were unable to locate someone who could win Harrison’s favor.

But Harrison instantly warms up to Claire as she notices the sketch he’s done and they start talking about squirrels, even cracking a few dumb jokes. He smiles and giggles a little. Kyle is really impressed when Harrison even paints Claire a drawing and offers it to her later. Throughout their exchange, Victoria observes how adept Claire is with children.

All of this being said, we firmly believe that Claire will become Harrison’s new nanny because the stars are aligning. When will things become official is the only thing left to wonder. From this marketing film, which we believe shows Claire settling into her new role soon, we can expect the episodes to premiere the week of March 18.

It should come as no surprise when Harrison tells Mommy Summer how much he likes Claire once Claire gets hired. It’s possible that he told his mother that he thinks Claire does things better than Summer, which will presumably irritate Summer and incite her jealously. Summer may begin to believe that she is being replaced if the Marchetti boss discovers that Kyle loves Claire as well and has any romantic feelings for her.

A threatened Summer may make for some fantastic soap opera moments, as she might try to use her Phyllis-DNA to pull off some crazy antics to remove Claire from the picture. Summer would not want to push her new cousin too far, though, considering Claire’s past.
