Samantha Giles will leave Emmerdale Village for a new position in Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre’s Cinderella production.
After 25 years as a cast member of the ITV program Emmerdale, Samantha Giles has announced that she will be leaving.

Later this year, the actress, best known for her portrayal of Bernice Blackstock, will move from the screen to the stage.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Samantha had left the soap opera for the fourth time since 1998.

According to a source who spoke to The Sun in July, Bernice Blackstock has visited Emmerdale Village more frequently than the Woolpack changes its barrels.

“She’s always welcomed back with open arms by ITV and fans alike, but it’s now becoming a bit of a running joke.”

After appearing on This Morning today, Samantha has since confirmed her departure from the soap opera.

She acknowledged that she has officially canceled her appearance on the ITV show in an interview with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

“Up until now, I haven’t been able to sort of confirm it. I’m leaving. I believe my final episode will air on November 14,” she said.

She also disclosed that she would be appearing in a future production of Cinderella.

Samantha will be appearing in the holiday show at Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre as the Wicked Stepmother.

I am so thrilled to be playing the evil stepmother in Cinderella at the Bradford Alhambra Theatre, she admitted.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Billy Pearce, the absolute king of panto, and the Alhambra itself is such a beautiful theatre that I have long wished to work at.”

Four marriages, postpartum depression, and a botox-induced coma are a few of Samantha’s most memorable storylines as Bernice.

Bernice was held hostage in the Woolpack by Cameron Murray in 2013 and was bound to a bed by someone she met online, among other memorable incidents.
