With an hour-long episode, Emmerdale wrapped up Super Soap Week by having Lydia Dingle report what Craig Reed had done to her to the police.
Fans of Emmerdale have commented on Samson Dingle (Sam Hall), who questioned whether his stepmother Lydia (Karen Blick) was actually sexually assaulted by Craig Reed (Ben Addis).
Craig is Samson’s mentor, and in his opinion, Samson could never have committed such a crime.
The teen and his father Sam (James Hooton) also got into a fight over it, with Sam yelling at his son, “Do you not think Lydia has been through enough?”
Samson retorted, “I don’t think I have done anything wrong,” as Sam argued, “You even sound like he does.”
“Who?” Samson questioned, to which his father responded, “You know who, your best mate, the rapist.”
“He’s not…” Sam asked what he meant, and Samson stumbled.
“What made him do it? He is a decent man and is our friend, and he allowed me to work for him.
Later, when Samson told Lydia that he believed her, he appeared to have changed his mind.
He said to his parents, “I want to see Craig one last time when he’s in that dock getting sent down.”
Craig was seen in handcuffs as the police carried him to the station at the end of the episode.
After the episode, viewers posted their own opinions and theories on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Some people think Samson would betray his own family, but others think he’ll try to win Craig over so he can give him access to the surveillance footage at his workplace.

“#Emmerdale,” echoed @Chris1968E. Why does it seem like Samson isn’t being completely truthful with Sam and Lydia? (sic)
Speculating, @BallumsHouse said: “I think Samson might find the CCTV footage if he stays working for Craig #Emmerdale.”
“#Emmerdale wonder if Sampson surprises everyone and finds some CCTV from Craig’s office,” @Nikkdthomas posted on Twitter.
In addition, @Theatreluvvie12 tweeted: “Hoping Samson will come good in the end and discover there’s CCTV footage #emmerdale.”
